Accountability and Research
The Department of Accountability provides decision-makers with valid, reliable, and timely data to enhance the quality of education offered to students.
Facilities and Operations
The Department of Facilities and Operations consists of six offices that provide various support services for the division. These services include new construction and facility modernization, maintenance and custodial services, safety and security operations, bus transportation and fleet maintenance, and school nutrition services.
Financial Services
The Department of Financial Services serves as stewards of public funds while supporting ACPS in meeting its division goals.
Human Resources
The Department of Human Resources selects, recruits and retains exceptional employees who exemplify the vision and goals of ACPS in meeting the educational, emotional, and social needs of the students of the City of Alexandria. It’s made up of the office of Employee Engagement and Relations, Office of Compensation and Benefits, and Office of Recruitment and Retention.
School and Community Relations
The Department of School and Community Relations consists of the Office of Communications and the Office of Community Partnerships and Engagement.
Student Services and Equity
The Department of Student Services and Equity is made up of the Office of Student Support Teams, Office of Student Services, and Office of Equity and Alternative Programs.
Teaching, Learning and Leadership
The Department of Teaching, Learning and Leadership is made up of the Office of English Learner Services, Office of Instructional Support, Office of School Improvement, Office of School Leadership, and Office of Specialized Instruction.
Technology Services
The Department of Technology Services provides a reliable infrastructure, improves operational efficiency, and enhances the teaching and learning process. The department aligns and allocates technology resources in a manner that reflects the school division's mission and strategic goals.
